Why use WhatIsMyIP.bz?

Choose it when a person needs a quick browser answer with no signup and wants the result boundary explained alongside the data.

Useful for standard network tasks

Copy the public source address used for a support case or allow-list.
Verify whether a VPN changes the address visible to a destination.
Check approximate public-IP location, ISP-style organization data and ASN.
Inspect common DNS records or public WHOIS text with validated input and bounded commands.

Evidence and privacy boundaries

GeoLite2 queries run against files installed on the service, not a MaxMind web API. DNS and WHOIS targets are processed server-side and may reach upstream resolvers or registries. Optional Google Analytics is loaded only after consent; operational access logs are retained for 12 months.

When not to use it

Do not use an IP location result to locate a person or household, prove identity, make eligibility decisions or infer that a network operator is the subscriber. Use authoritative registries or your provider for allocation disputes.
